A lot of duty holders don't understand just how important emergency lighting is for the safety of occupants at the premises they look after. It is the guiding force that helps illuminate the pathway to a safe exit for occupants in the event of any emergency situation.

Just as important as it is to understand when emergency lighting is required, it is also important to understand what type of emergency lighting is suitable for your specific building. This non-maintained type of lighting is the most common type of emergency lighting in workplaces where the normal lighting is mostly on at all times whilst occupants are present.
